About Me

Hello, I’m Dayne. My graphic design journey began unexpectedly while working as a receptionist at Kileybaker. In my spare time, I taught myself Adobe software on the studio’s Apple Macs. One evening, I stepped in to help the studio manager with urgent changes to a Parmalat project — and the client approved them immediately. The very next day, I was promoted to a Desktop Publishing apprentice, went on to printing college, qualified as a Desktop Publisher and my career in design officially began. I eventually became a senior designer for a very larger digital marketing agency.

Over the years, I’ve become proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, Canva with Illustrator being my strongest skill, particularly in working with raw vector artwork. My experience spans across:

• Repro and flexo printing, where I mastered colour compensation in Illustrator.
• Print production, handling typesetting and layout in InDesign for bulk printing.
• High-end image retouching for brands like SAB, using Photoshop and a Wacom tablet to perfect even the smallest details.
• In addition to my graphic design expertise, I have a strong passion for web design. I specialize in creating visually appealing, functional, and user-friendly websites using WordPress, with the Kadence theme as my go-to framework. This allows me to craft sites that not only look beautiful but are also fast, responsive, and easy for clients to manage.
• I am also highly proficient in Canva, enabling me to design professional, impactful, and on-brand content quickly — perfect for social media, marketing materials, and business presentations. This skill allows me to offer clients creative solutions that balance speed, quality, and strategic design.
